Following the monumental success of our July event, Data & AI Community Day Durban: Season of AI, we are thrilled to present the next chapter: Data & AI Community Day Durban: Season of AI - Copilots & Agents. Hosted by the Azure, AI/ML & Data Community Durban usergroup, this event promises to be the most comprehensive Data & AI gathering in Durban to date.

Thanks to UNISA acting as a venue sponsor, the event was held at the fabolous Coastlands Umhlanga Hotel and Convention Centre with fantastic views over the Indian Ocean.

The event was a resounding success, with over 200 attendees and a lineup of expert speakers who shared their insights and experiences on a wide range of topics.

The event was a testament to the growing interest in Data & AI in Durban and the incredible talent that exists within our community.

Data & AI Community Day Durban: Season of AI - Copilots & Agents is a full-day, in-person event packed with cutting-edge insights and networking opportunities. It takes place place on November 23, 2024. It promises an exciting, in-depth exploration of artificial intelligence and other hot topics in the realm of Data & AI.

What to Expect

Reading the title of the event you can expect topics around Microsoft Copilot. However if you are not into Copilots (you perhaps think that Copilot is the person sitting behind the main pilot in an aeroplane), don’t worry. Since the event is organized by Azure, AI/ML & Data Community Durban we have a mix of other cool topics. So, expect topics along the lines of:

The registration for the event has just opened. As we are are expecting a large turnout for this FREE event and the space is limited, register NOW to secure your spot.

When looking at the agenda, please note the following:

Registration starts at 08:00, and the event starts at 08:20 sharp. There will be some interesting keynotes so please try to be there on time.
The event ends at 18:00. Please try to stay for the entire event, as we have some exciting things planned for the end of the event.
Some sessions are 20 minute sessions and some ar 60 minutes. In the agenda, we have indicated the start time of the session and the length above the session title.
Thera are 10 minute breaks between sessions, and a 60 minute break for lunch.

Just to be clear, the agenda is subject to change. We will update the agenda as and when changes occur. However, we are extremeley excited about the agenda, and we hope you are too!

Thanks to UNISA, our main sponsor and host of the event we are back at the awesome Coastlands Umhlanga Hotel and Convention Centre.

The venue is easily accessible by car and there is ample parking available. The venue is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including a large auditorium, breakout rooms, and a spacious lobby area for networking.
